In my Showcase Writing Project, I think that it shows how well I can write and cite sources in MLA format. For this particular project I had to write about stories and how they bring meaning to certain aspects of life, I integrated evidence from a few different authors to help support the arguments throughout the paper. During class, our professor helped us navigate the Little Seagull book, which gave examples to how we should cite sources and even how to use the proper in-text citation. While writing I normally have typical errors that occur that I have been working on to correct. These errors are normally tense errors. While I am writing it is hard for me to notice the fact that I switch tenses in certain sentences. A way I use to combat this is asking during peer reviews if they can pay extra close attention to the way sentences are phrased. This helps, but I also read my paper out loud, and even highlight the tenses I start with and end with, to make sure that I found all or even most of the tense switches.
