When writing my narrative essay, I began by just writing every thing that popped into my head about the topic and points I want to cover. For this particular essay, I started with a paragraph about someone else’s personal story because I found it easier to start with to get my mind in the right mindset and get the ball rolling. I normally start with body paragraphs when writing an essay because I find it easier to develop my ideas and solidify what I want the essay to mainly focus on. My first draft mainly has the beginnings or mostly complete body paragraphs, so that when we peer reviewed I could get help with the main parts of the essay, so I can then work on developing them by adding more quotes or evidence, or more of an explanation to my ideas. I try to have my thesis and hook for the peer review because I like getting tips on improving my hook and thesis to make it more clear. I know that as the revision and finishing of my essay progresses that the thesis will most likely change because my argument might slightly change to either bronden the idea or narrow it.
