In my final draft of my narrative essay, I used quite a few quotes and pieces of evidence to help support my argument. When reading articles that were assigned in class, I highlight quotes that I find intriguing or factual. When I start writing, I look back on the article and those highlighted quotes to see if they would fit and if it would help further my own writing. In my narrative essay I talked about the blueprint of society and how it helps some and to others it can be too conforming. During the writing of the two paragraphs in the essay, I remembered that I had highlighted an interesting quote from Julie Beck outlining what a specific blueprint of society was. This quote went into my paragraph to help further my argument of how narratives help with the understanding of life itself and how that creates a path for us throughout life. I have always been one to do this while writing. I remember quotes that I have read, and write about them in my essays because they tend to spark my ideas about what to write about.
